Default Thinking of xj8

Evening all,

thinking about picking up a xj6/8 but a big thing I'm left wondering is what the leg room is like in the rear? I'm 6ft 3 and I sit far back, got a skyline sedan that I can only take the wife and one of the kids (both in some sort of car seat) in because of this. Due to this lack of rear legroom we just use the civic when we go out which is a bit sad tbh.

If it's spacious enough then want to pick up one that's under 100k miles get it cleaned up serviced and do lpg conversion.

any comments welcome,

cheers

The Jaguar XJ8 LWB and Vanden Plas models has one of the most generous rear passenger legroom in the industry.

I'm about the same height, just with a longer torso. My seat is all the way down and not totally far back. Average 6' adults can sit behind me. BUT be aware, the roof line is low in the rear. I can't sit there long - this is based on my SWB.

A LWB has a higher roof line so you get more headroom in the rear as well as more legroom.

Thanks for the reply, is that a picture you took? Is that with seats back?

Defo looks considerably bigger than what I'm working with just now!

Yes, that is a picture of the back of my Vanden Plas which I took.

I have the memory driver seat activated, so when there is no driver/ignition off, the seat automatically goes to its furthest back position, which is where it is in the picture.

And as Diam mentioned, which I forgot to, the LWB and Vanden Plas has a higher roof line and therefore more rear headroom as well as more legroom.

I have a 2003 Vanden Plas and I'm 6'. Have plenty of room in the back seat. The VDP and the xj8 long have extended body for plenty of room in the back seat. By the way I have a very nice vdp for sale. It was on autotrader but I don't know if it is still listed.
