Ticking at idle low rpm

Found this today unfortunately. Recently I had been noticing a lifter type tick
At idle. knowing these motors are prone to cold start ticking I hadn't thought much of it thinking i may need to shim a valve down the road. Well recently it had stopped "going away when warm" so I decided to get down to it. Got the stethoscope out and tracked it. I had done secondaries a while back but still needed to do primaries. Looks like it bit me. I had heard of chains slapping the head but hadn't seen it in person. I've done this jobs eons of times, but was hoping not to have to do it on my spare time. Anyways, info for anyone who hasn't done primaries.
