Time clock

Hey guys. My 99 XJ8 has an anaog clock between the a/c vents. Should or does this thing have a light behind it? It's annoying that when driving at night I can't glance over to see the time.

My 2000's is lit when lights are on.

There is a removable blue light bulb in the back of the clock. I took it out and inspected and its no good. I got a new one on the way. Used clocks go for $30 on ebay too.
