Default Timing Chain Tools

I'm checking to see if anyone out there has the timing tools that they may wish to find a home for. I can't tell you how many times I've reviewed the procedure so generously provided on this forum thinking that my day would come, and well it has.
Any other advice would be warmly accepted. 2000 XJ8 with 140k. Aloha

Well, you can get the cam locks from ebay Engine Timing Tool Set for JAGUAR / LAND ROVER 3.0 3.5 4.0 4.2 V8 Engine US Ship | eBay ...I'd sell you mine, but shipping to HI ($20, 3 day flat rate) and me selling it at 1/2 price ($25) will be as much for theirs and they have free shipping and you'll have a new one. If you still want to buy mine, PM me.
As far as locking the fly wheel in place, I used a big flathead screwdriver and wedged it in place vs fighting trying to get the lock in if your only using stands.

First let me thank you for the ebay site you steered me to. I found a large differential in pricing amongst the different tool kits offered, not so sure I was able to see the reason why. and as is often the case the less expensive kits didn't ship to Hawaii. So far I may be able to bring in a 100.00 dollar unit plus another 50.00 for shipping and that's making yours fairly attractive. I have yet to gather all the required parts yet so I'm not chomping at the bit just yet. Don't tell my wife though as she is patiently waiting for her Cat to be cured.

I replaced my upper tensioners on a former xj8 i owned. I zip tied the chains to the sprockets while keeping tension on the chains replaced the tensioners.I believe I picked that procedure up here. It worked great.
