Default Too many irons in the fire!

I’m still doing Jaguar stuff picked up a few extra always broken. Currently trying to put two xjr together. Got another Xj8 good looking silver one I don’t know what’s wrong with it? Picked up a green one that needs a seat module and coolant hose?





Then I have to give a kid a hand with is it has a leak in the transmission coolant lines where it goes under the engine support crossmember. I’m still slugging away at it

Everybody on the forum, it seems, likes the green, but I think the silver is nice.

Pertaining to the transmission oil cooler lines under the engine..... I bought my 98’ XJR from the PO with 234k miles back in 14’ because transmission fluid was leaking badly from one of those lines. The reason it was leaking is because the engine mounts were severely collapsed (which the TOC lines are fastened to the engine via a bracket) and allowed the TOC lines to rest on the subframe. The aluminum lines will always yield to a steel subframe. I was lucky I knew someone close by who could weld aluminum and it’s been fine ever since that repair and replaced the engine and transmission mounts. I’m not saying this is your problem but, it very well could be.

His mom was the first to notify me hey there’s a spot in my driveway so I asked the kid what does it look like in your dad‘s driveway where you park it all the time his response I don’t know. Then he took give me it sent me a picture yeah it’s leaking it didn’t appear to be too bad so I said well we’ll get a lift as soon as we can just be careful driving it next thing he says my transmission is kind of acting funny . So the car is over here now so he doesn’t burn up the transmission I was hoping I could get by with a bootleg rubber hose connection between the two I’ll let you know on this one
