Please wait until the weekend. I go to 1/4 and full mile competitions. Bad luck this spring: First session weekend I lost for my wife and the next one was rainy. I am preparing MEGA EXTERNAL COLD SCRAM INTAKE SYSTEM - as you can see. Last year I just removed the inner headlight. Now the STAGE 2 system has been fully developed in the labs and ready for serious action. Waiting for GRAZY numbers. Videos will be shown.

Some wheelie expected. 220lbs extra load in the trunk keeps the feet up.

Someone did...

328rwhp to 454rwhp by installing a twin screw and nothing else, not even a better exhaust.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...n-screw-96101/

I did almost all of the work myself, and don't want to even think about what it would cost to pay someone else to have done all that custom fitting.

The car is a blast, but the project is not for the feint of hear or thin of wallet.

That airfield is very, very slippery if compare to real drag strips and just a few cars went 60ft under 2sec . New drag radials helped me for 1.963 ( you can see it if stop to 5:34. ET was just 12.80 because of grazy rich mixture. Now, with wideband lambdas in both banks, the right mixture has been finally found.

You did a beautiful job on your build and posts!

When you say only Twin Screw at 21 psi and nothing else was changed, what you really meant was a twin screw and:
larger MAF
larger intake
larger TB
Custom elbow
Custom fuel delivery
Stock rear end?
Water/meth kit
Additional electronics for the TB

328 rwhp to start- So you have a 4.2 and not a 4.0 right?

+126 HP gain is a transformative amount of gain The car must pull like a freight train now.

4.2 + water/meth is kinda cheating Fantastic to see actual figures though! Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to reading your build thread through properly.

Ok, to be completely correct, I installed the twin screw kit. That kit included the intake elbow, larger TB, intake tube and MAF.

Nothing unusual about the fuel delivery, although if I was doing it again, I'd upsize the injectors, since the 32 lb/hr stock ones are approaching their limits.

Stock rear end for now. Looking at a LSD, and thinking to do some treatment to the ring and pinion for strength while it's apart.

Thanks.

I can't really fault the car for coming out of the factory with a 4.2L.

And the water meth really didn't make any difference in the power, it was exactly the same with and without it in the baseline run. I mostly have it for added safety factor and it's set to only come up at pretty high boost (~15psi) so one fill up of the tank lasts a good while in "normal" driving.

It's 126 rwhp gain, and that translates to about 150 HP extra (assuming a 17% drivetrain loss).

That's not the limit of the twin screw Kit, I was able to pull about 210 rwhp more (so about 250 HP), but requires some more (relatively cheap) mods of course.

Was OS Giken, wasn't it? The other option is Quaife

The diff housing/gears/bearings are stock, the inner part is indeed a clutch type OS Giken TCD diff.

For 500 rwhp with a LSD I would certainly recommend to give the pinion/gear a shot peen treatment.

It was real Street SLIDE today. Results: !%#&/()&%%% . +10C , 10m/s headwind, 90% humidity and finally rain ended the event. I was some of the latest who run in small rain and felt it very dangerous after 660ft... Today's best 330ft was 0.45s slower than last year on the same event. 110lbs of extra load in the trunk did not help.

But anyway I won easily all the three races: Firebird ( the red one in the picture ) , Corvette and Chevelle.

Stage 2 intake got a problem since just 85mm pipe goes throught the hole of the headlight, so I did not use it
