it's probably P1229, which according to JTIS, is:
P1229
Throttle motor control circuit mallfunction
causes:
Throttle motor disconnected
Throttle motor to ECM drive circuit short circuit or open circuit
Throttle motor failure

It turns out it's the throttle body. $2300 for a new one. I have seen anywhere from $250-$650 for a rebuilt one. The Jaguar service place also said the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced and at 114000 miles it still has the original spark plugs.

A do-it yourselfer....Valve cover gaskets are super easy, as is a plug change ....just be sure to get the correct ones and gap them even if it says pregapped.

Ouch for the throttle body....I would do some searches on site regarding rebuilt ones to see who may have recommendations and save you some cashola.

I got a rebuilt throttle body for $650. It's being installed as I type. I want to take my X308 in a road trip so hopefully this fixes everything.

It was definitely the Throttle Body. The power has returned now that the rebuilt Throttle Body was installed. It never drove like this until the rebuilt Throttle Body was installed. I have only had it for a month. No codes. No stalling or sluggish acceleration.

Automotive Scientific Inc. | Quality Rebuilt Automotive Electronics | Rogersville, TN

This is the ASI that everyone talks about. They rebuilt mine, and it's been perfect ever since. Highly recommend.

I just had the Trac Not Available/ASC Not Available/ABS codes come on. I'm off to the Jaguar service place to have them read the codes since I couldn't find any.

It was the ABS module. I'm having a rebuilt one installed. $650...
