hey guys im about to take a road trip down to orlando so im trying to fix a few things first on my '01 xjr. #1. im pretty car smart however i dont see plug wires anywhere in my engine bay lol idk how id replace them if i cant find them. #2. my back 2 tires are quite bald so i was thinking of when replacing going to a 275/45/18 however i wanna make sure they'd fit? dont know if anyone experimented with a larger size than 255. #3. Last off i helped my buddy put a tranny cooler on his R/T dakota the other night and i wasnt sure if an XJR came stock with one or not? i was thinking about installing one. thanks for any help!

 

haha, good old road trip preparation
1. Nope, no plug wires! You have ignition coils, one for each cylinder.
2. Il leave this answer to someone else, i have not had any experience with this yet?
3. Yes it definately has a trans cooler. Its built into the radiator if im not mistaken.

275/40/18 will fit rear, and 255/40/18 front. on 9" and 8" wide wheels. These are the ones Ive run on both the XJ8, and XJ6, 45's will not

 

thanks guys! would you all recommend changing the supercharger oil if its never been done? idk if it'd make a difference or what

 

Dont think the abs will like the wider tires tho

 

never had an issue with either the XJ8 or the 6, now might be alittle more touchy with traction control intervention on an R, but thats what the off buttons for
