Hey guys I’m installing my transmission onto my motor and need some insight on the installation. The transmission is connected as this post goes up but wonder if it was installed properly. I seen the torque converter had 2 notches on it and wonder if it was suppose to slip onto the notches. Also is the tail shaft suppose to rotate freely or in sync when I hand crank the motor to spin? Any help is appreciate once again guys.
Torque converter needs to be fully seated to the transmission before you put it behind the engine. Two notches are there for the oil pump. Without doing this, youll end up with broken transmission oil pump.Torque converter is propely seated when you can spin it easily with fingers when the transmission is installed. Tailshaft will not spin when you turn the engine.
