BobRoy we didn't take that sectiion of the pump
apart at all.

I don't think the part you are showing came from there. I haven't seen a part like that. If you have time look through the manual to see if there is anything that looks like that.

Maybe your helper dropped it on the floor to mess with you.

UPDATE- After removing the trans again we found the problem. Man do I feel dumb. After removing the old A drum I didn't realixe there was a couple spring like plates and a psiton(I guess that's what it's called) that had to be transferred to the new A drum.
After removing we did an air pressure test through the pump housing. After reassembling CORRECTLY we tried the air test again and clutches and olates all moved. Reinstalled trans and glory be she moved in first. Took it out for a spin and dove great. Going to put about 30 miles on it today will then check fluid again tomorrow.
Although we got 2.6 gallons in it. Thanks to everyone for ALL the help.
