Transmission Problems
Hi new member here. I just recently bought a 98 jaguar xj8
A presiding issue was coolant spraying out when i stopped and turned off the car. Replaced a hose, thermostat, and water pump with belt. Worked for about a week and it started again
A day ago i stopped at a stop sign and when i released the brake i did not move. Gave it gas and it slammed into gear. This triggered a "gearbox fault" message and threw it into a limp mode. Check engine light was on. Throws codes for gear control malfunction 2,3,5 and 1,2,3,4 as well as missing drive cycle A,B,C (P1730 and P1000)
Changing the fluid today to see what i find. Does anyone known what could've went wrong? 87k miles so i cant imagine the tranny going out so soon. New to jags but know my way around cars and transmission.

I see. Whoever worked on this car last had those hoses on the wrong ends. The radiator one was on the left and overflow on the right. Not sure if it helped as I have the transmission out but im sure that was the cause
