Transmission Swap/Change

Fit? Yes.
Work? No.
You would need an infinite amount of time and money to make it work. And in the end, it would be displayed “incorrect part fitted” on the dashboard forever. If you love your car, getting a used 18-23 year old transmission is sketchy at best. The best thing to do is to get it rebuilt with a updated A drum and main pressure regulating valve in the valve body.

Make sure that they install the updated MPR valve in that valve body if you’re to be buying a rebuilt transmission from online somewhere. Also, you need to flush out the transmission oil cooler lines going to the radiator. I’d also highly recommend replacing the rear main oil seal and cap seal like 3” above it while it’s out. It takes a 17mm Allen socket to remove it. Spray down the the exhaust studs on top of the catalytic converters with a good quality spray penetrant at least a day in advance and only use hand tools to bust those manifold nuts free.
