Default Unusual brake wear.

I thought I posted this before but can't find it, so here we go again.
My front rotors have strange wear. The shiny area right by the hub is more worn than the rest of the rotor. It is the same on both sides of the rotor, and both front brakes are the same.
Anyone seen this before?

being more worn mean that either the pads or the rotor are slightly thicker/make contact earlier in this area, since that correspond exactly to the part of the rotor that has not be machined for the grooves /holes, my guess is that they removed some rotor material when they drilled/holed the rotor

No, that wasn't the reason. honest! I was chasing a vibration under braking, but I may have it, in another post titled "rear end wiggle" or something similar. I'm hoping my braking problem disappears after the bering issue is solved.
