hope some one can shed some light. have a 98 vdp and a 99 vdp, one runs (98 no title) 99 doesn't (good title) changed the ign switch, bmc,transponder, ecm out of 98 into 99. still want turn over. 99 ran until i let battery go dead. is something else S/N linked

If it ran until the battery died, I'd start with testing and charging/replacing the battery. I've read that x308's can lose memory of key chip codes when batt is discharged, so the security system would inhibit starting.

What happens when you try to start it? Does it throw a code(s)? Is the security light flashing/turning on? Is it making a clicking noise like the starter is trying to turn? Do the interior lights dim severely when trying to start, or does it run through the system check after letting go of the starter? ASC/TRAC not available error when turning the key to start?

does nothing,no dimming lights ,starter will not engauge
