Wanting a killer tune for a decent price?

well dang it I figured if I didnt say anything people would forget and relax till I was all done. So far we have done 3 tunes ea sorting out things here and there. The 3rd is by far the best but still hes just begun to scratch the surface according to him. He says the spark tables are very VERY mild and he just barely touched them on the 3rd version. We have mainly been trying to tackle the wayyyyyyyy rich problem when it hits 3800rpms. I did a totally stock dyno pull only mod was a 2.5 custom catback exhaust and my car made 318 rwhp I didnt dyno run version 1 or 2 because of drivability probs that had to be sorted. But one the stock run we used a wideban and up too 3800 had a beautiful 11.8 to 12.0 to 1 afr great for power and perfectly safe for the motor. You could get a bit more power by leaning too 12.5 but thats a lil on the edge there. Anyway at 3800 that 2nd pump kicks on and the afr pegged the afr gauge to below 9 to 1 WAYYYYYY to rich killing power an that why you can smell the cats so bad after you floor it. Well we got it sorted so that it hit 11.8 to 1 all the way to redline and the car made 353 at the wheels with just this fixed. an my mileage has gone up ALOT for some reason. I was hitting bout 21 to 23 round town now hitting 25+ when I keep my foot out of it. Freeway is over 28 I hit 33 at one point going to work my mileage is so much better. Now this is far from being done i sent new logs to him and hes continuing the tuning gunna get more aggressive take out a bunch of torque reduction crap, modifiy the spark tables to be more aggressive, I think we have the afr doing well, but hes also working hard on the trans computer as well. Now I have not added any pulleys, porting, downpipes, anything. But in the works I have new mannys coming for it headers were a no go too cramped and not worth it. New high flow cold air intake, high flow cats and 2.5 in downpipes. So we will see what the final tally is on a stock M112 with stock pullies. Im guessing that 380+ should not be a problem at all.

Is that on the stock Jaguar dual pumps or aftermarket pumps?

Car is with stock pumps and its a 99 but this same thing seems to happen on 98, 99, an 00 but the 01 and newer seemed to be a bit leaner.
Also I want to add this is not because of the pumps it was in the programming itself Im just saying that with all that extra fuel pressure its easy to richen up fast
Im getting ready to send out my computer again for a stage 4 and see what we can do.

The real reason for asking was just to get some feeling that the pumps are adequate on a stock configuration.

The problem is that the original specifications are not published anywhere.
If you could reveal how you determined them to be 190 LPH per pump, and at what pressure + voltage, it would be a gem to some people here.
If you had them flow tested and can post a graph, even better

hey guys im new here and i have a 2001 xjr and im wanting to get it tuned i put it on the dyno and made 287hp very clogged fuel filter air fuel was like 13 13.5 was not changed since new so did that ran better and put a pulley for pullyboys i think 2.8 and its throwing lean bank 1 and 2 and it wont pass emissions and it has a stock air box with a k&n filter looking in to putting methanol on it but will getting this tuned solve my problems of making so low of power and passing emissions, plus what the best for exhaust and cold air and is it alot louder putting high flow cats or what i still want a sleeper

Welcome to the forum. I'm new here as well so anything I have to contribute will be right back to the basics and fundamentals of auto technology. You might wanna check the basics tune up stuff like plugs, compression, vacuum lines, and run a diagnostic aka pull your codes before you start trying to tweek your car. Not passing emissions test isn't the way to start and its indicative of a larger problem.
There is a lot of info on this site using the search button and reading for a few days might not hurt you too much. BTW an attempt at punctuation even if its wrong, makes reading these post a lot easier. Not blasting you just making a suggestion.

+1 on the punctuation. You'll get more responses if people don't have to use the enigma to decode your questions.
I'd definitely make sure the car is running 100% before any further modifications. Otherwise you're gonna be chasing your tail forever trying to sort out what the problem is.
