Default Warm air blowing in RH floorboard

I noticed a few weeks ago when driving my vanden plas it will blow warm air in to the passenger footwell area even though the ac is on cold. Is this a common problem? Are there any fixes? Thanks

Sounds like one of the blower / mixer doors may not be moving properly - cause could be motor, broken mechanical component, disconnected/broken wiring, to name just a few possibilities.

I noticed an 80mm cooling fan sitting under the engine ecu, while stripping a car, I wonder if its this?

I know all my other cars inside and out, but I havent really gotten to take apart much of a jaguar. I guess I will have to investigate soon! Is there a cabin air filter on these cars?

A new observation though....when the windows are cracked it seems to blow harder. It also blows harder with an increase in blower speed. I am wondering if it isnt a hot air leak coming from the heater core area.

Well I felt way up under the dash while it was blowing hot air and it isnt coming from the floor duct, but somewhere around the top of the heater case. So, is this a common problem that you can tell me about or am I just going to have to find it when I pull the heater case? Does pulling the heater case require pulling the dash? Thanks

DING DING DING! I found the problem. On the RH side under the hood there is a cover that bolts down over the ECM. This cover is missing on my car. After lifting the computer, I can see the passenger side floorboard of the car. I covered the hole with duct tape and all of my problems have gone away. I am now on the hunt for an ECM cover so I can get this duct tape out of here. Thanks for all the replies. I am so happy to have gotten to the bottom of this. My A/C also seems to be working great after eliminating the hot underhood air from entering the cabin. Now I just need to do my lower ball joints and my RH wheel bearing.

Good for you ixj8it! My problem is similar. The top of my dash has suddenly decided to get very hot after driving for 10-15 minutes. I think this hot air is coming from the engine compartment, but have not been able to locate. Sound familiar to anyone?
