Default Water leak

I have a 2000 xj8. Driving today and temp started hitting the roof and low coolant light went on. Expansion tank was empty. When I added coolant, it leaked out of o plastic container under right front bumper next to the radiator. I've never even seen that container before. Could somebody fill me in on this thing Thanks

The right front bumper area has the windscreen washer reservoir. I doubt coolant is in there.

The radiator or hose could have ruptured and leaked??????

The atmospheric catchment tank is in the left front area of the car and can overfill if the engine overheats or the coolant cap fails.

Yes. That's the tank that is leaking, on a quick look I did not see any hose, but it is night, so I'll look in the am. Thanks for the reply

Found that the engine would get hot, but the upper radiator hose was much cooler. Figuring the thermostat is kaput. Will replace and post results. Did put a new cap on.
