Not as if I was looking for something to do, but I pulled the water pump out of my 2000 XJ8. It looks as new, with the black plastic impeller. With 32,500 miles on the car, should I replace it with a new unit from teh dealer, or by an aftermarket pump, or just reinstall the pump and monitor the engine sound and the temperature gauge.
Is the water pump from the XJR higher capacity?? Is it a better choice??
Should I buy an aluminum Thermostat housing and base and if so, from who.
