Thank you very much Jim. I have one more question: my rear fog lamps are not working (I checked the bulbs and swicth). Since the trailer conector has rear fog lamps, how can I test using a voltimeter if there is electricity? I have the voltimeter but I have never used it to test a conector. Where must I put the red and black wire from the voltimeter?
Thank you for your help!

Hi
I noticed in the 2000 Drivers Handbook that the fog light can only be operated by following:

Press to switch the fog lamps ON. Press again to switch OFF.
Lights at the side of the switches indicate when the fog lamps are ON.

When the sidelights are switched OFF, the fog lamps will automatically be cancelled.
If the sidelights switch is left ON when the ignition switch is turned to position .0., the fog lamps will switch OFF until the ignition switch is returned to position .ll..
Are you also having a problem with the stop lights and reverse light (backup lights)? If so, you should check fuse #1 (10 amp) in the Trunk Fusebox.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for your writting. However I have tried all the possibilities and no result.
Reverse and all braking lights work fine. Fuse is O.K. too.
That is the reason why I would like to use my voltimeter to check if there is power, but I don't know how to use the red and black conectors. Can you help me , please? I would like to check the trailer conector which has rear fog lamps outputs,
Thank you!

The Trailer Connector pins for fog lights has an orange wire with green striping that comes from the SLCM (Security and Locking Control Module).
The other Trailer Connector pin for fog lights has an orange wire with black striping that goes to the Fog Lights in the rear trail lamps, then continues to the ground.
I think you should a test circuit lamp and it probably does not matter which pin is tested with the red or black test connector. You just want to see if there is power coming from the connector.
