That's a little over 9,000 miles in the 21 months I have owned the car, a surprising 5,000 miles a year since it isn't my main or only mode of transportation.
My coolant reservoir cap also arrived today, one less curling eye sore of a sticker to deal with. Picked it up brand new for $7(shipped), eBay gotta love it lol.

Just measured, the opening diameter is 2.5 inches factor in the rolled lip it's precisely 3.0 inches. The OEM ovals' are 3.0 inches length-wise,2.5 height w/ 5 inch length.
Also found a hitchhiker on measuring lol.

Installed new reservoir cap & the other coolant sticker arrived today(in a big box for an @ best 2 inch sticker lol) so my engine bay will be complete. My windshield cowl is in pant & after that I should be hard pressed to find a project on the ole girl lol. Mind you I say "should" lol .
Edit :
Upon further inspection the rectangular sticker looks to have been previously super glued on one end. Luckily I have Goo Gone, Nail polish remover w/ acetone on hand.
Overkill on shipping lol

Having done quite a bit of work this year, thought I'd plug in the wds computer and see what codes exist. I'm sure I've forgotten to unplug the battery a few times.
Took a note of them, then cleared them so I can check if they come back after a few drives.
Have to say, I find the software takes some getting used to, and I forget what I've learnt usually!
I SHOULD have a buyer to come pull the car from the driveway by Friday. The laundry list of needs just got too much, it's got 216k miles and I don't see myself getting to it in the foreseeable future so best to let it go, and when the itch comes back, I'll buy one in better shape. Just the way things work out, but at least it's one vehicle less to shovel around in the snow. We'll see, this time it sounds more definite than the last flake!
Just did an impromptu Rain-X glass treatment field test lol. Forgot my cowl & wiper were off in paint & drove my 308 to run an errand in the rain. The Rain-X performed well I must say.

Took the Super V8 for yearly check. Despite <2000 miles driven, Waxoyl, garaging and avoiding rain, it failed on 3 rust patches, none of which were spotted as advisories last time. Grrr.
Away went my cat to it's new home. A woman bought it to take and fix up for her husband for Christmas. With a good solid weekend or two, I don't see why it wouldn't be doable, but I was past my end of life with it. I'll continue to lurk, and if I happen to see another XJR down the road, who knows.
