Davoid, what do the patches look like, what did they object to about them, and what will you have to do to pass? Since we don't have such inspections, I'm just curious. Can you drive it in any circumstances under caution, or do you have to get it off the road until re-inspection?

on both sides just under top front suspension mounts on the inner side, and under sill near jacking point. In the UK these are spots considered to contribute to structural integrity. You can drive until it passes the inspection within the allotted time but if you dive without a current annual passes inspection you're in big trouble.
Personally I think it boosts the car industry and could stand to be a bit less harsh. In Melbourne, Australia you only have to get this inspection done when you buy/sell, so there are a lot of cars on the road much older than here in the UK. Though rust isn't such an issue there.

Got to it today, the initial goal was a matte/satin black, it came out glossier w/ the clear coat. It was thoroughly sanded w/ a Dremel, primed & baked/dried so I don't anticipate any issues going forward. I have some product in transit to restore the windshield rubber trim as well.

With my wiper cowl all new & vibrant it's time to recondition the windshield seal. After thorough research I decided on 303 Rubber Seal Protectant, it's documented to last weeks-monthes ?! We shall see, applying tomorrow after a wash.

EMS control relay
Been having the engine stall quite sporadically recently, so I let it run whilst stationary and used my ears as a guide once it stalled after about ten minutes.
Before actually turning the engine over again, I traced a noise coming from the engine management fuse box, specifically the only relay sitting in it.
Gave the relay a little push, it moved maybe one millimetre, suggesting it was slightly proud. Result is that the engine seems to be running properly again. Really Weird. Keeping fingers crossed too.

Marketing Savvy 101 : This product is just their regular 303 Protectant @ a more potent concentration w/ a different delivery method. It did the job, but I wasn't overly impressed, it went on streaky & I had I to go over a few times. I will see how it holds up. Pics were no good as it's a very overcast evening.

Also read a post from Jagtechohio that pretty much said the same thing.
Having the engine cut out and then reboot whilst doing 70 on the motorway was an interesting experience!
This cat is never short of new surprises :-)
