The back of the panel (window side) has two plastic clips, which slide (while moving the panel forward towards the window) over two steel brackets on the roof.
Hold the panel as horizontal as possible while doing so, then push it a bit extra forward while turning the plastic screw.
Very simple, hardly can go wrong as long as you push the panel sufficient forwards, unless those guys broke some.

I will need to apologize to you guys, as I was pulling your legs a bit.
It is a pure photoshop, as I was just wondering on some reactions.

My present car is nearing completion on interior and exterior (all back to factory standard), and I have prepared this new project in quit some detail.
Technically there are several 'complicated issues', lots of 'easy' things, but all doable by keeping the conversion simple.
My biggest problem is the 1/2 year technical checks I have here in Taiwan, which I can't skip without loosing my car license, never to get it back any more.
That means the basic conversion (including glass etc) needs to be done within 6 months, not easy at all.

I still hope you like the idea, I think she should look gorgeous.

My dealer does the best tire balance and alignment in town. Every thing else is incredibly expensive, though.

They did also mention being not to long for lower balljoints and bushings for a mere $2700 just in parts.

Drove the old boy the whole week... Cursed him today, as he didn't want to start up (I guess the immobiliser is starting to cause a few troubles).

Finally got around to replacing my headliner and gave the seats a good conditioning, then tracked down the broken wire that was keeping my trunk from working. The XJR is looking new again...

Now I've just gotta figure out a good way to attach that silly center rear brake light to the window and find time to replace or repair the rear subwoofer that has managed to rot itself out and we'll be up to snuff.

I used epoxy -- cleaned the metal tabs, left them in the holder, cleaned the glass with alcohol, spread and mixed the epoxy, put it on the tab and pressed and held to the glass.

Freaking plastic still broke! Cheap piece of crap on a $70,000 car . . . one piece that Ford didn't touch.

Default Thanks Col. Sandurz

Bet that's what my rear bearing look like too..
As long as I can drive it until the snow flies.. Then I'll tear it down

Get a foam 6x9 surround repair kit here for $15 and fix it yourself:6" x 9" Angled Speaker Repair Kit For Replacing Foam Surrounds

A search will turn up a few step by step threads on how to do it.

The hardest part is getting the rear squab out and, BTW, don't fix that 3rd brake light until you R&R the package shelf to repair the sub woofer.

New gas cap (hopefully will eliminate "check engine" code) ($25 for new on eBay).
New tires (General AltiMax RT43) and new front brakes & rotors. Handles better now & no more squeaking.
Wash & wax in preparation for winter.

Mamamia, how do I wish there were such 'parts cars' here.
And great to have saved this beauty, hope it will work out!

Replaced the security and locking control module with the used module to repair a nonfunctioning rear brake light. This solved the"Check rear lights" message as well.

Forum members help to solve the problem. Bid on a replacement SLCM on eBay. Must match the part number and the frequency to allow the key fobs to reprogram correctly.

In the past week I recently got the Jag back after having a seal put in onto the sunroof; I had a day off the next day and I decided to clean the wood, seats, buttons, ect. Also gave the Jag a good quick detail as well.

Saturday I drove out of town to help my family member and I got to drive on a long stretch of highway. I decided to put on sport mode and it was nothing short of amazing. I miss having sport mode since I'm always driving around town.

Today I drove the Jag with the window down around a few blocks and it was amazing, V8 noise, comfort of the interior, the color of autumn everywhere... It was a great drive. Maybe one of the best I've had in the Jag.

Not to mention I got closer to 113,000 miles / 181855 km in the Jag

Have a good week everyone! - Pilotman
