What did you do to your X308 Today?

Scott: no, always idled smoothly (a little rougher when ac kicks on the fans). But, it does idle appreciably smoother with new MAF -- but a just three short trips experience. LTFTs have lowered ~ +1.6 - 2.3 at idle, ~ +2 - 3.7 at 2500 RPM.
Still going to check vacuum line at throttle body and keep checking to see if LTFTs rise under load (which might indicate the onset of a fuel pump issue).

Went out on lunch and ripped the door card off the driver's door, hoping MAYBE I could WD-40 my way to a semi-working actuator again, but no go. And sadly I'm missing the correct torx bit for the window rail inside to actually get the latch assembly out completely to try to get that apart and see further. Should be an interesting ride home.

I am interested as I am also trying to track a similar issue, but not yet found it and have tried the raw propane gas in all areas to try and track it down. Mine seems to even go back to zero LTFT at just off idle.
Not even sure if it is even possibly normal for the fuel and type of air we have here in CA

Hahaha thats okay, luckily most people that come to me know interiors on modern cars are not my focal area, I would most likely get asked to make custom race seat brackets or replace a rusty floor when it comes to interior. I won't even do stereo work anymore and thank god for me tinted windows are illegal in NH. Maybe I have occupational claustrophobia, keep me outside the car when it comes to work . Removing the chrome nub helped marginally but realizing the buttons were down helped a lot more! Duh!

Finished repairing the factory sub last night, and reinstalled it this morning. And while it certainly doesn't have the low range and power that a REAL sub would, it does certainly fill out the factory sound. Went back together a lot easier than it came out. Inexplicably the rear shelf pulled right out all nice and smooth today whereas yesterday it wouldn't. Dunno what I did different, but it sure made screwing the sub in a lot easier. I also tested the screen for the sub over it before adhering that down after someone on here had mentioned that it interfered with their initial repair. So far so good.

After getting pissed off with no working car charger for my phone (the cig lighter is a crap connector!) I replaced it with two USB ports to charge with...
At the same time, I found out, that my car had factory fitted power folding mirrors and that it has the option "double stitch" and is all "warm charcoal".

I've been cleaning up the Jag for the past few days ( I guess you would call it Spring Cleaning ) and it's more of a detail rather than a cleaning. I've been polishing the Jag since Wednesday all by hand. And I'm getting pretty good results. I'll post a picture of the end product when I'm done. Most likely one more day until the polishing / waxing is complete.
Also cleaning up the cabin such as polishing the wood, cleaning the plastics, and then treating the leather with Lexol!

Replaced valve cover gaskets, so far no smell of burning oil :-D Of course broke something while doing it, this time it was this hose on driver side - looks like breather, it cracked so easy. Fixed by inserting piece of plastic pipe into both ends. It was quite scary to hear all the cracking sounds when I was moving electrical wires out of the way...
I have one little o-ring left - not sure where this one was supposed to go. Well, I am not taking covers off again, that's for sure :-) I was using FEL-PRO VS50724R set from rock-auto.
There is nothing better then few beers after this kind of job....

Thanks! If it is for spark plug - I would expect 8 of them. There is one of this kind for the whole set, real small, about 5mm inner diameter. I think
jimlombardi called it 'Oil tube O ring' in this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...eed-how-81632/ Will look for this 'oil tube'. Cheers!
