What did you do to your X308 Today?

Gotta love the vibrance of the newer wood. I test drove a 98 xjr forever ago and it had that same tach and wheel that yours has, both of which I really loved when I drove it. Is that a '98 thing or some kind of option? I'd like to one day retrofit that tach background with the smaller increments in place of my normal tach.
Also, does the wheel with the perf leather have different shaped dimpling on the wood sections than later models? I remember that standing out to me a lot more than the wheel on my '99, but it could just be my memory being wrong, as I don't really have any '98 xjr's i can put my hands on in the area.

Got a full on flat, RR, just as I arrived at work. Had to get a ride home, grab air tank, come back, fill up, drive home, put car on stands, grab another car and return to work.
Not the best way to start a day.
update: went back home at lunch, took off tire, put on spare, found and market the spot, dropped off at tyre shoppe.

I re-installed my warranty refurbished electric exhaust cut outs. I got them from Dave at DMH four years ago and he rebuilt them like new under warranty. New motors and covers, they look like new!
Also, used my MaxJax lift for the first time to do this project.
The cut outs are the best mod I have done to any car ever, but this MaxJax lift is the best tool I have bought for myself, ever too!
If you missed the group buy I put together for the MaxJax, send me a PM, I may be able to get you the same deal.

Sadly, I have done absolutely nothing to the XJR for nearly 3 weeks!
Shameful, I know, but what with sorting the body and paint on the '72 MGB GT, and other little things, like life in general, I could do with another 10 hours in a day!
But, tomorrow I am going to give the old girl a good wash and wax, as she is looking a bit sorry for herself at the moment.

replaced a battery which had sat unmaintained and unused for 3+ years with a shiny new AGM battery. J gate backlights. New antenna mast.
It's amazing how much healthier every single electronic bit sounds with a new battery. Even the seat motors come right to life without any complaints or struggle.

Managed to park my X308 in the rear bumper of an X3... No, BMW X3... My X300 grill left an imprint in his bumper and my bumper is untouched. The bonnet is badly dented on the right (that X300 grill isn't 'alf rugged and stiff!) but otherwise all is okay. Just need a new bonnet and grill... Should be fine then...

As I'm in the stripdown phase of my "mini restoration" I've been taking bits off and storing them. Today I removed the wheel arch liners from the front, and there was a lot of mud and soil under there and behind the liners almost an inch thick! Luckily the area had been undersealed in the past, but is up for refreshing now, but I'll be going overkill on underseal when the time comes.

After breaking down due to a sudden water leak, I found my return hose from radiator to engine peeing above the water pump pulley on to the belt... So I ordered a new hose as it is split.
At the same time I ordered a new headlight go replace the shattered one and am looking for a new bonnet, wing and grill (grill from an X300). Couldn't care less about the colour at the moment

Ordered up a set of front and rear replacement shocks. I had redone bushings front and rear back in February-ish, but I do remember one of the rear shocks we skipped the lower bushing on, due to not having proper size press cups and didn't want to butcher it (the first one was barely a success). And now the car has started rattling in the rear, and I'm not going to bother chasing it. But as I have CATS, I went standard instead, which also meant ordering matching for the front, and new front upper mounts to fit the new shocks instead. I'll have to disable the module when it's not 97 degrees outside and brutal to crawl on the floor, but I'm hoping that after getting these in there, I'll be less annoyed with rattles (until I get around to doing my motor mounts next).
And it also gave me an excuse to order a new jack, and extra tools and such for the job. I like excuses to buy toys.
