Default What is this part???

I'm putting my jag back together (finally) and I've got this piece from when I took it apart 2 years ago, and I don't know what it is or where it goes? Anyone recognize it?

Looks to me like it's off the Exhaust down-pipe, used to fasten the heat-shield on. In the UK it goes on the passenger side, but I think in the USA it's on the drivers side. Only goes on one side, item 6 in the picture.

That looks like its part 6 in that diagram. I had suspected it had something to do with the exhaust because of those ceramic spacer and I'm pretty sure it came from the driver's side (US car) as it was sitting on my car in front of the windshield on the drivers side. Thank you!
