Default What is the value of 2003 Superv8

Hi , everyone . I will be listing my 2003 Superv8 for sale in a few days but don't honestly know its value. The car is located in Los Angeles
The car has 48.090 miles as of today . New complete air shocks , most bushings, new front brakes , very good tires ( 70% left on them) - perfect rims. almost perfect black leather interior , original carpet etc I fixed the radio it needed a fuse! .Everything works .I am very meticulous when it comes to my cars I have been a Jaguar owner for many years and currently own too many . It took me over 2 years to find this one, in fact my search is even documented online

What do you think ? The car is silver - champagne color with black leather interior Honestly I am afraid to ask too little or too much

I looked up historic sales of x308 Super V8s on BaT thinking there would be a good sample size. One sale in 2018 for a ridiculously low $11,500.

You could also include VdP Supercharged, which I understand was basically what the Super V8 was called previously. There were 5 sales, including one at $33.5k this year.

Thank you for the reply -
I think low mileage and upkeep has to be taken in consideration-
Full air suspension and bushings among other things don’t come cheap 😊 headliner ,tires ,etc
everything ads up very fast
There are a lot of mistreated high mileage XJR and VDP out there and very few 2003 low mileage SuperV8 ( also known as Vanden Plas supercharged
Only 788 were built from 1999 to 2003 world wide
not sure how many in 2003 -

As far as I know, X308 Jaguars (or Daimlers) did not have air-suspension from the factory. Was that a modification done on your car? Air suspension from X350 or aftermarket?

There were 2387 SV8’s made. Terry, did your car have lambs wool floor mats in it?

Thank you so much for the reply guys
Regarding the suspension These supercharged long-wheelbase variants were fitted with Jaguar's proprietary CATS adaptive suspension.
mot Air my mistake

Yes the car still has lambs wool front and back in excellent condition- they are protected with another carpet on top of them, so yes, you can say I’m OCD.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_XJ_(X308)

This is where I got my sources from. My guess is that if you want the absolute facts, you’ll have to go to Jaguar Heritage?

Edit: I just clicked the link and it didn’t work for me but, you get the idea.

That's a NICE car. You should probably keep it! On the other hand, if you want to part it out, I'd take the lambs wool floor mats. Haha.

My 2003 SVP with 110K miles on it and in very good condition was totaled right before Covid hit and the lockdowns. I had lambswool mats, Asteroids, CATS, Blue over Ivory in very nice condition interior. I did a ton of work on the car and basically replaced every rubber part, all Suspension pieces and anything else I could.

I had to fight tooth and nail to get less than $8k for mine. I fought my insurance company for almost a year. I had to hire a local appraiser, went through all kinds of back and forth. My insurance company had a million clauses and arbitration to go through to get anything. I gave up when they would only take the advice of some Ferrari appraiser out of Chicago or somewhere and I had to pay the guy $800 for him to do it.

Funny enough, my appraiser had the same insurance company and was so pissed about how they treated him as an appraiser that he left them after 20+ years.

Thank you for the message. I think I have decided to keep the car. It’s a beautiful car and unless someone offers me the price that I think is right I’m gonna keep the car - very few cars left like this one and especially in this condition.

OMG, I really like the furry carpet as I never had one on any of my car.. Yes, definitely keep a good car like that because they will never make one analog like that again. It's value can only go up... Congrats...
