Default What's between the center armrest and trunk

Anybody know what is behind the armrest going to the trunk. I finally located the proper rear seat for the XJR which arrived from California today via the bus. Would love to put a ski pass through in there before putting it in but I know that will take some time to configure the right parts and stuff. Is it solid sheetmetal there or is the gas tank in there? Just talking about a 8"x5" area there.

Thanks for the help. Oh and for those who wonder why I got a new seat, the previous owner had some tires back there which imbedded the sidewall information onto it. Nothing short of a proper redye would have removed it.

Better find a roof rack. Gas tank is right behind the seat.

No one makes a roof rack for the XJ. Funny they list it as an option so what do they do, put in a different tank all together.

Default Racks do fit

Partially true: I just got confirmation that the XJs have a gutter along the edge of the roof that a generic gutter-style tower will easily fit.
