I think it's naff when you see cars with black wheels. Especially when the black wheels are standard manufacturer wheels from 2003 that have been painted black by the owner. I've seen a lot of cars recently with this including a 1999 XJ Sport with black Celtics, a 2004 S Type and many many X Types all with their factory wheels painted black.

I'm not a fan either. Its almost the polar opposite of the chrome wagon wheels. Now I do have a set of black mesh center Compomotives on another car, but the hoops are bright polished aluminum. I just don't like the all black wheels, especially on black cars. Styling needs some kind of highlights. Nighttime stealth should be left for jet bombers, not passenger cars.

I remember seeing that X Type a few years ago, and I remember the seller's ad for it. If I recall it was the basic model car, and with all the modification the price was something very low like £300. Still, I'd love to know the thought process behind that "project".

Why doesnt he just chop the back end of the car off, put a bed on it and make it a truck? Besides aren't those steel ***** hanging from the rear of the car?

A donk VDP, that's horrible, lol, and it's not even a well made donk, instead of expanding the wheel arches they just jacked it up with a body lift kit to make the tires fit. With widened arches and the lift they could have put 40s on it...

lets not forget that cheap cars end up in cheap peoples hands!

when it dont cost much its treated like a cheap hooker!

cheap cars are expendable.

most what i see here would not happen to a NEW car!

The competition will be forever open as there is always going to be people out there with questionable tastes. LOL

I spotted one of those F Pace SUV's today, a car I don't like. The owner had decided to make it look even more ridiculous by sticking a few generic 4x4 stickers in the rear window.

This one is also not a bad candidate ... seems to be on the junkyard already ...

Thankfully that hideous XJ40 is in the proper parking lot. How much you want to bet that the spoiler hit the roof/rear glass when the trunk was open?

Those are the fools that back up traffic when they make a turn because they can't turn the wheel in the well too far without tearing up the fender or skirt. Same goes for hitting pot holes and speed bumps as they putt putt over those. Takes away any class the car had.

As for the worst I've personally seen, ...a x300 with **** on the dash, duct tape holding the outside door mirror....or at least a part of it on (don't think that was a mod?), horrible tinting that was peeling and 3 different types of tires on it.

Body filler is like booze and expanding foam - it takes responsibility to use properly.

To add to the list of terrible mods, blacked-out or tinted taillights and/or headlights.

My xjr came with big shiny 20's that rub at certain steering input asteroids or silver coventry whitley 18's for me sometime in the future!
