This is what I do as a quick reference and review what comes up, then compare that on other sites like frugalmechanic.com
Simply go to eBay with either or both of your part numbers and put them in their search and see what appears. Make sure to read them for other info they may provide. I'll then compare that info with a few Jag parts sites, say xk's unlimited or Terry's if they carry that part and even my local dealer.
Seems cumbersome, ...but you only want to buy the right part once, right?

Hi skinnypuppy,
Just to add to Highhorse's research tips, you can easily look up Jaguar part numbers at jaguarclassicparts.com, the parts service of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Once you have your part number, use that website's search function to search the part number and you'll find all or most of the vehicles that part fits. For example, your wheel stud part number JZB100064 fits the XJ40 saloons, the XK8 coupe & convertible, and all the X308s through VIN F59525.
So if the Dorman part is correct for a '98, it is also correct for an '01. If you are still concerned about the part, try jaguarmerriamparts.com or gaudinjaguarparts.com, the Jag dealers in Merriam, KS and Las Vegas, NV, respectively, who sell OEM parts online at discount prices. For example, Jaguar Merriam lists the JZB100064 at $3.44 each.
Cheers,
Don

As for Doorman, it may well be a part they don't regularly sell (and haven't kept up proper applications) and are just selling off premade inventory until its gone and may or may not continue to stock it?
