Default Where to Buy Quality Floor Mats?

Hello All!

Can anyone suggest some great-looking (think elegant) floor mats? Did the factory mats have the Jaguar name? Are mats like this available anywhere? I prefer rich-looking cloth, not vinyl.

Thank you!

How about lambswool mats from the VDPs?

I got a set of Avery mats for my 96 and they are OK. I don't recommend anything ligther than 22 OZ carpet because they move easily. They fit well and will probably get a set for my 04. Most places will send you a test sample to match the carpet.

I put Autosport Super Plush Mats from autosportcatalog.com in a 1982 Supra, my summer leisure car. I kick off my shoes and love them.

Come Spring I may get a set for my Jag.

Considering the Lambswool mats from my VDP were $470 to replace, and considering that although beautiful and comfy, they shed for 7 years till bald, I passed on the OEM route here. My vote goes for the Autosport Oriental mats. Considering the car is Radiance Red with an Ivory interior, the Red Sultan pattern is a knockout! I have gotten multiple compliments from folks about these mats!!! All 4 were $256 delivered and are much heav ier the the OEM VDP mats!!

I like my heavy black rubber Jaguar mats form Britishpartsplace on ebay. They look great in my XJR, are sporty and utilitarian and not goofy looking like cloth mats. They do (the fronts) have carpet under the foot placement areas, but the backs and the rest of the fronts are really nice heavy black ridged rubber. The Jaguar logo is prominently visible. The fronts do have attatchment tabs, and they are OEM parts.

They can be pricey, but my local dealership wanted $260.00 for me to drive across town and pick them up, and I found them from the above-mentioned for $170.00 out of Wisconsin (I live in Canada), shipping in!

My car is black on black so they look fantastic. Might be another story if you wanted a more uh, 'genteel' look, but I couldn't be happier.

There's many options available to you. You can have custom ones made by a good trim shop, it would be easier for them if you have patterns, like an old set. The great thing about custom ones will be the colour combination, you can have the carpet match the trim, and edging in bodycolour, very swish.

Hunt down an oem set, these where swiss made and very good for what they are, but finding the right colour/size might be a problem. The originals did have logo's, either the name or a leaper.

I managed to find a new set for £50 on eBay, they do crop up. What colour do you need, and what material do you want are the man things to think about.

here's a l.h.d. set in burnt orange! Wild!

I got mine off ebay for about £35 new. They are to the correct pattern and carpet colour of my trim. They even came with the hole to clip to the Jag's carpet. I am very happy with them. I am at some point going to get a rubber set as I can put them sometimes when I know dirty shoes are going to enter the car!

I got a set of those $30-35 ones from Advance auto parts. They were the super thick heavy rubber (vinyl?) mats with anti-spill grooves. They do not move period. My wife loves them in the Vanden Plas. I am thinking of putting these in the my other car as well, rather than blowing $85 on a set of NOS Thunderbird mats that will just get worn out. I drive my cars everyday.

Default Anyone have floor mats from Ebay seller: Autotec?

Here's the guy's listing...

1989-2009 Jaguar Vanden Plas Custom Carpeted Floor Mats - eBay (item 160557078395 end time Apr-08-11 12:52:38 PDT)

Click the Jaguar logo picture... then click enlarge. Does the logo on the mats really look like this? Doesn't look too good, really. Does it look better in person?

I have been enjoying my custom Lloyd mats from Autocarpet. I ordered the plush set. Very satisfied. Autocarpet has an eBay presence but they are on the web as well.

On some earlier posts there were quite few people had purchased the autotec, from what I remember they bought the better quality with the emblem and a heel pad. No one had anything bad to say! I think it was XK's or Stype that the mats were for, but you can order what you want. Do a quick search.

There's a giant, 7 page thread in the XK8 section regarding the AutoEtc mats. Cadillac linked to it in the second post above. That thread pretty much covers anything you ever wanted to know about the AutoEtc mats. I bought their cheap set and I was pleasantly surprised. When mine get a little thin I'm going to order a set of their plush mats with the heal pad and all of the other bells and whistles. The mats I bought fit my car PERFECTLY and they have the holes for the floor hooks and everything.

It doesn't matter, X300 items like mats are interchangeable with the X308.
