Default Where to get a headlight other than a dealer?

One of the headlights is out (lens broken) I was wandering where I could get a replacement besides a Jag dealer so I don't get charged an arm and leg for it? If it makes any difference it's the one on the passenger side that's closest to the grill. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the link. BTW I just found out that they do have those in stock at Autozone. Does anyone know what the correct description is for that light near the grill, is that one of the high beans? Thanks

They have them at Motorcarsltd.com also (no affiliation) -

You're talking about the inner headlamp lens (high beam), right ? They have the
bulbs also. The bulbs are a lot cheaper. If you don't want to pay for a new
lens, you could try getting a used one off a wrecked car.

Yes its the inner high beam. Autozone only has the bulb. And it looks like a new lens is expensive (about $200) hopefully I'll be able to find a used one somewhere.

I really do have new genuine parts quite a bit cheaper than every one else around.

I checked my price on this lens against everone listed here and my everyday price beats them all by far.

LNC4620AA Inner headlamp assy $130.73

thanks

Hi David

Thats a great price. I just paid 250+ for one last month.

However...... I have ran parts searches before and your website does come up, but I find it very, very hard to use. For example, I just went on and tried to find this headlight part you talked about and I couldn't find it after 5 minutes. Unfortunately thats enough for me and I go and look at another site (and spend my money there)

Do you have any plans to make your website more user friendly ? It's a pity you have great prices but they are hidden by your website

Well, as a matter of fact yes... we are working on a complete redesign. I'm hoping that it will be a lot nicer and easier to use.

I don't believe that the catalog itself will change much though. It is sort of a generic catalog that is provided for the use of a lot of the parts websites.

Anyway, if you need me to look something up for you just send me a message or I will post the correct factory part numbers here and you can enter them directly on the homepage.

Anyone here can always email me directly at partsnet@jplv.net directly for pretty much anything. I've been doing Jag parts for 8 years, so I might be able to help.

Thanks

Is that a new or used part and how long would it take to ship to Massachusetts? Also I didn't find the part on your website. Thanks

Thanks

So, David (jpamparts), I agree with the difficulty... not necessarily of using, but of getting results. I assume (maybe incorrectly?) that you would sell me a set of secondary timing chain tensioners for my 2000 xj8, yet when I search (after selecting my vehicle and year) for "timing" - only timing cover, "tensioner" - serpentine belt tensioner only, "secondary" - nothing, "upper" - lots of stuff, but not tensioner.... What should I be searching under, or do you just not carry them?

Hmmm, and searching "headlight" returns nothing... "headlamp" does find the part you specified.

@David

Ok, thanks for the heads up, I'll have a look at the site once it's revamped, and I'll keep your email address handy incase I need something (which is "constantly" with 2 Jags)

@Quad

I'm glad you struggled also :-) I thought it was maybe just me !

QuadManiac-

I agree with you. The search feature rarely works the way we want it too. Unfortunately that is one of the problems with using a generic catalog, and hopefully it is being addressed. The best way to find what you are looking for is Manually locate what you are looking for or send me a message and I will give you the correct part numbers and prices.

newuser-

We sell only brand new genuine Jaguar parts. No aftermarket or used period.

Thanks
-David

Thanks for the reply, David. Your website is now a shortcut in my Jag folder, and I'll be looking there first when I need parts; and I'll keep your email address handy if I can't find what I need.

David, I'm also having problems finding the part on your site and ordering it even after I entered the part # number you provided. Please let me know how I can get this done. Thanks
