Default Whew, might need a Spare Key

I was getting the ramps in position to change my oil and somehow got locked out of my 03 XJR. Car was running and I had a date with my wife in a few hours. But I had the sunroof in 'vent' position which is something I never do... Anyway, I found a clothes hanger and was able to fish the lock plunger from the roof and everything was fine.
I've been putting off buying a spare key for some time. Maybe this was a reminder?
Any advice on finding a deal on a key? Fob too?

They're the same design (barrel) as Ford, have you a motorfactors that cut keys? If you only need one to open the door (not start the car) then this would be a sub $10 option. If you want a new ignition key it's main agent time.....(key has a transponder that lets the ignition ring know its kosher, it needs programming to the car)
A fob, you'll need a 4 button 433Mhz fob, there's plenty on eBay UK. The programming to the cars security module is a simple task, details of which can be found on the forum thru search.

Finally, there's the option I had to go with, bought a new left hand drive lock and key set, swapped the tumbler set on the door lock with a rhd lock and fitted it along with the boot lock, glovebox lock and ignition lock. Once all were fitted I had someone with IDS program the new keys to the car. The lock and key set was £35 off ebay, a serious saving on main agent price, and they're lhd so you don't need to fiddle with the tumbler on the drivers door like I had to. I've got 2 black 1 green key, new keyrings and 2 working fobs. The way I can lose keys I need them!!

Hope this helps, all the best.

LOL I did the same thing, though all my windows were closed and heater was on demist! I had to wait for an hour for the recovery guy to arrive and get me back in. Luckily because the engine was running it was easy to get me back in. I had no spare and did what Sean suggested and had a couple made to just open the doors.
