Default whoops i did it again

after getting my 2000 xj8-long(liquid silver) in nov....a car about as close to mint one can get....i .....came upon another 2000xj8..same color and interior...with 115,000 miles on it....had engine and trans checked out and got it for 4k....this one even has heated seats which my "long" doesn't even have...more like a "2"-no dents dings/...interior front seats need to be re-done/painted.(but no rips/tears in leather)...and need to do detail prep...

now i got 3....85xj6, and the two....2000s......personally i think the 98-2002 xj8s hit the sweet spot as re classic look and overall performance...........and happy hollidays to all....

From what I read once in here all these cars are wired for seat heaters. The heaters are already in the seats just change the face plate and plug them in. Fuses are on the block already too.

That would be me!

I just (a month or so ago) fitted my VDP with the heated seats. ALL you need is a climate control pannel off of the junkyard with seat heating buttons (about 50 bucks in SoCal). Once you replace that, your seats WILL heat up! Amazing huh?

You can thank me later.

You should try the heated seats in my Bentley-they have 2 power settings:

1) Normal heat for English guys

2) Extra hot for naughty German girls

You need to swap the complete climate control panel. The one that has the seat icons on the buttons goes COMPLETE into the one that doesn't have them. All the seats are wired for heat already. Climate control panel is all you need.

Anyone know if that's true of all models, or just VDP?
