will 38 mm offset fit xj8?

RE: will 38 mm offset fit xj8?
I wouldn't trust a simple "yes" or "no" answer from anyone on the internet. They just might want to sell you wheels or tires.
I would suggest you start by measuring the minimum available clearances you have now with the existing (stock size?) wheels and tires. Check inside and outside clearances front and back. On the front, check clearances with the wheels turned full left and full right as well as straight ahead. Then determine the offset and width of the present wheels, as well as the treadwidth, sidewall width and diameter of the present tires. Make an accurate drawing of the present setup with respect to the inner mounting surface of the wheel, then overlay the new wheel and tire dimensions on the same drawing. From this, you should get a reasonable idea of how the minimum "static" clearances would be affected with the new wheels and tires. Assume these clearances will only get smaller when everything is moving and flexing.
