Why would you do that? You pretty much destroyed the interior of that car. Might just as well glue furry carpet on the dash too.
All the wood grained trim is what gets all the comments in my car.
Doesn't match the exterior? It goes with any color paint job. It's not suppose to be a direct match to it. Wait til that paint starts bubbling and pealing. You'll have a real nice mess on your hands.

The wood look outdated to me and honestly boring with that interior color is more comfortable for me the wood was like old antique design which I'm not really into it . We used primer before the paint why it would bubble?! It's been long time nothing wrong with it

To each their own. Hope you never plan on selling the car. All I can say is it would be a deal breaker for me.
As for primer, I doubt it's enough without first sanding it rough and using an adhesion promoter. Paint or normal primer will not bond very well to that surface and sooner or later you're going to have a mess on your hands.

It doesnt bother me that you are customizing your vehicle to your tastes. I do that all the time with cars, cycles, boats, house decor, etc. Did you paint the handle cups silver?

perhaps the ONLY picture here is a bit blurry. if you can share more descent quality photo, maybe we will have a very different impression.

what bothers me is just the color combination. I don't want my car interior looks (including the texture) to be identical to the exterior.

Will take pics in day light it was midnight and low light . For me I like blue color and it looks modern the wood is outdated imo and it was kinda yellow which makes it less comfortable for me when in car . I will paint my other xj interior to monte Carlo blue or ice blue color .

That looks so clean and kind dark wood type looks amazing. My car wasn't like that it was pale wood and looked too old the clear coat wasn't that shiny too .

Looking good, seems like you did a quality job mobile1. Some cars (my XJR included) had poor quality lacquer, which became very yellow and hazy. Refinishing them is possible but the veneers are extremely thin and well glued on, so paint is a viable option. Also Id kill for the darker style like Sov211's.

Thank you . The guy who painted it did good job sanding it and prepare it for paint and clear coat . Also the paint and the clear coat were high quality and Im impressed for the quality I used different paints/clear but the best is nexa autocolor . To my knowledge some high end cars use glasurit but too expensive and couldn't see much difference
