Default work completed on my jaguar

I have been minus my jaguar for awhile. I kept getting codes, and started getting white smoke out of the tailpipes so I decided to take it in and have it gone through. The mechanic replaced coolant hoses, coolant tank, head gaskets, primary and secondary tensioners replaced, plugs, transmission fluid, supercharger fluid, rear end fluid, etc. I am so pleased with his work; I can't tell he has even worked on it. There are no scratches from his work. Nothing leaks. No more lights on the dash. This was a truly pleasant experience. He really took pride in his work.

Hi
Sounds like very good news. Is the mechanic working in an indy shop or in a Jaguar dealership service?

Maybe you can give us a summary of what the costs were for each of the various parts and labor that you were charged.

This would give the rest of us forum member a sort of benchmark to use as a tool for comparsion purposes.

Now days it's hard to make those positive comments when getting work done. I can't count how many times I have taken my car in, which is rare just to get it back with greasy prints on the hood or something left loose or not connected. Attention to details and pride in your work seems to be a bit lost these days. Dang gone shame.

Glad your happy!

that was a great preventive-maintenance at one shot.

I did all above over periods of time

jimlombardi, he is an indy. He gets around $75 an hour. I believe the cost to get this car in the condition it's in currently is around $6000 wth parts and labor. I paid $9500 so I feel like it was worthwhile, at least to me. I've got more in it than it will bring, but it's such a pleasure to own. Compared to its cost when new, I am happy with the amount of money I have spent. And I can drive it now and not worry about it. He said everything looked good and I should get another 100,000 out of it.
