......at least it seems so on this forum! I understand that we are all enamored with our cats, but....as the Midnight approaches in Europe, there are so many young people sitting at home by their computers, and discussing X308 Cats!

When I lived in Europe, things were different. We started to get ready to go out around 10PM! Given,....there was no forums back then,...all we had was alcohol, fast cars, and fast women. It's kinda sad to see all these youngsters typing away on Saturday night, and living their lives by the computer screen.

Even this old cowboy (yours truly) will head out in few hours for some good food, good Scotch, and a good woman!

No, no, no.....we still party hard - but fuel is so expensive now that we have to have some nights in to save for the good nights out in the cars :-)

Tonight is one of them nights.....have one for me when you go out

In my defence (and it would appear in defence of Europe) I am on PaPa duty tonight.
But the basic concept of going out late still remains in continental Europe.
I remember going back to Ireland and saying I'd meet someone at 11pm at a pub, and they said "that's when they close"

BTW Richard, what kind of 7 do you have? I didn't think many people would have 7 and a Jag, both English, but very very different

Cheers

It is very similar to a Caterham/Westfield in looks, but the manufacturer was Luego. It is a Luego Velocity, with a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 motorbike engine fitted....very quick and loud!!! 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds, and top speed of only 130mph, but it revs to 10500 revs - a lunatic car. Scares me to death :-)

I think there is a pic in my albums....it is blue/aluminium alloy colour, no windscreen or roof....

This is it...

I built it a couple of years ago, it was more fun to build than it is to drive....I took it to LeMans and I was nearly deaf when I got there....no roof so quite wet too :-)

Respect Richard, that's quite a machine.
I've got a Westfield with an old Ford Escort motor in it.
I wanted one with no electronics so I could learn about engines.
Mine doesn't do anything near 130, scares the bejesus out of me long before that

Nice to see I'm not the only one with diametrically opposed tastes.

Sandy - with that comment, for most of the people on this forum, you are becoming the most perfect woman :-)

Any pics?

They are good cars to learn on....mine was designed for a ford engine but I thought it was a bit 'normal'....so I re-designed the chassis and mounts to accept the engine from the Suzuki - a friend of mine was selling his bike so I bought it and broke it down into parts.

It has a 6 speed gearbox, which is sequential same as the bike....puch forward on gearstick for down, back for up....clutchless gearchanges up too so quite quick through the gears :-)

But, same as a bike, no reverse....but it is very light so is easy to push backwards....and with good planning I never need to go backwards on the road.

But with the weather here it doesn't get much use....:-(

I prefer my Morris Minor, 0-60 in 20 seconds, top speed about 70 mph, free road tax, £70 a year insurance and 40 mpg. I get more eyeballs and thumbs up in the Minor than all my other cars maybe with the exception of the De Tomaso Pantera.

Hope that picture works.
It's a bit rough and ready not exactly concours condition, but it's good fun and I like when people, gape at it.
Currently it's off getting its MOT/TUEV/Safety Test after getting a new used engine.
I do like that Morris Minor. Today I managed to convince my son that Nissan Bluebirds are cool.

OK,....horses and dogs are fed, and now me and my cat will go and have some quality time. You guys keep on talking, I am off to Las Vegas for some serious fun.
If you never had a steak at "Smith&Wolenski's" you don't know what you're missing. Few shots of 25 year old single malt before it, and every bite washed down with Hungarian "Egri Bikaver".......mmmmmm, I need to drive fast! Luckily, The Cat can hardly wait!
After dinner, it's "Palms" for some fun, crash at the Venician, and be home tomorrow before dark.
Have fun ladies and gents,.....life's too short!

Got home at 9am after 7 Dewars on the rocks, took a big breasted Greek girl to a hotel.... Then fixed my power steering oil hose and found that pesky air leak messing my engine up this morning....

Nice try old man lol

Back in the saddle! Vegas was a blast (it usually is). I am not a gambling man, and I thank you for your good wishes on luck. I NEVER gamble,.....I go to Vegas for food, and nightlife.

My Cat loved the outing!

"Princemarko",.....I sincerely hope your big breasted Greek girl closely shaved her moustache! LOL
