WTB front caliper pistons.

Hi everyone, today I went to rebuild my front calipers, since the RF was dragging and the boot was damaged. The problem is, the piston chrome has bubbled from rust, and now I need new pistons. This apparently isn't as easy as you'd think. I can find all sorts of rebuilt calipers, but I'm having a time finding non OEM pistons. Jag prices are silly.
Any hints are appreciated.
Thanks

A piston from a BMW fits. Problem is, I don't remember which model, but it was posted on JF.
Almost all modern BMW's use ATE brakes just like Jaguar and some of the parts are easier to get from BMW. For example, the little dust caps on the end of the pins are about $1 from BMW and not sold separately by Jaguar. Likewise, the pin kits are probably cheaper from BMW or Peachtree.
Not pointing the finger at you, but was the fluid changed regularly before your purchase?

ummm ... found them in my stash:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...alipers-66024/
single piston caliper repair kit for a 1990 BMW 535i fits perfectly.
They both 60mm bore calipers from the same mfg.
About $5 at Auto Zone for the seal and the dust boot per wheel.

I also found out that the grey upstream sensors from the X-Type will also work on the V8 & they can be bought on ebay for around £30 or so.

Thanks Plums. That thread says it was necessary to turn the piston in a lathe, though. I had the piston out today, and confirmed the 60 mm bore, but didn't think to measure the height.
As for the damage, when I bought the car, the rubber boot was half out of it's seat, allowing water to get in and rust the heck out of it.

So far I've found Centric p/n 146.60010, which no one has in stock, or Frenkit P604901, not found in North America, or BCP6032, same thing, or Jag JLM2191P for $75-$100 each.
The silly part is, I can find all sorts of rebuilt calipers, so where are they getting the pistons from?
The only good part to this is that I used my Motive pressure bleeder for the first time, and it works beautifully.
