Yes, the bushings can be done separately, but the labor is the same or possibly more than just the shock exchange. It's one of those "While you're there you might as well just..."

if it's in the rear then it's the rear shocks... you can get away with just doing the noisy one.. and you dont have to lower the rear axle.. to change them.

there pretty easy to do you need just a spring compressor which ever shop shud have... it takes maybe 1-2 hrs... if not done before maybe 3-4
