took my driver door panel off to repair 2 problems
1. Door handle cable replacement ( a horror show but that's fixed successfully)
2. Inner window seal keeps folding down when window is lowered like its sticking to the lowering window
This one is weird.....seal looks in good shape and I cleaned its felt with dish soap and water but it keeps folding down when window lowered... if I spray window with windex while window is coming down it doesn't fold and works as it should... Anyone seen this?
When window is down the space between the inner and outer door window seals look much closer together when compared to the passenger window. I cant figure out why ? any and all comments appreciated

 

Did the window have tint installed at some point? Maybe there is still some sticky goo on the lower part of the window that wants to stick to the felt a little bit. You might have to remove the door panel to get low enough on the glass to clean it off. I used a tint remover spray on mine, but I don't remember what it was. In my case, the felt was not getting folded down, but the glass was sticky down there, and I could see where it might happen. There's really only one way to put the door panel on, so I can't imagine why the gap would seem closer together. But you might want to explore that further if the tint idea doesn't work.
