The t2 is a pretty amazing differential. Back in college i was obsessed with gear type differential superiority! Does the offset pinion flange necessitate a slight redesign in the drive shaft or can the jurid coupling tolerate the small degree of flex? i know the Xj40 and x300 have an arrangement with two u-joints. I was speculating you were going to use the spicer u joint pinion input and modify your drive shaft to suit (did the pinion seal not fit?), your custom pinion flange is definitely a very nice approach.

The U joint was commonly used up to the Series 3. An easier route for me would have been to switch to U joints, however I wanted the added refinement afforded by the jurid coupling design

Ok this is an ancient thread but just wanted to ask Count a dumb question. Why does the 14HU even exist? Surely somebody in your engineering team just didn’t call up GKN and tell them to make the same exact thing but worse?
Also found out last week pinion seals are NLA and $400 from the only seller. Yikes, definitely not fixing mine.
