X308 XJR overheated crank pulley bolt loose

Will do - the car never leaked coolant before it got hot, although I suppose I never did look.

I'll check and report back.

Well, turns out it was a schoolboy error on my part - the expansion cap wass not properly screwed on. Reset with a bit of pressure to start and it screwed up like a goodun - no more spitting water.

Just to be sure - I checked the hose position and I have the crossover so all good, just need to get a new bolt from Jag and tighten it up properly.

Just to resurrect this thread as posters rarely come back! Almost 6 years on and a good few thousand miles later and the engine is still going strong
