Col Sanderz is unable to locate this TB. Looks like there are a few on eBay in the $799-$1000 range with a $200 core charge.
I don't think I'll send my core in. I'll send it to ABSFixers and have them repair it and keep it as a spare. Found a few interesting youtube videos for the process, though I don't have the time / skill to do this myself. I have just moved to Colorado, would love any shop recommendations from folks here.

1 Disconnect battery
2 2x 8mm bolts holding the throttle inlet tube to remove, other end release the jubilee and slip off..
3 2 clips to squeeze off the TB
4 throttle cable nip the cable tie and pull the square assembly out of the bracket.
5 4X 13MM bolts holding TB on
Old gasket removed, new one fitted then the reverse to complete the job. Once the battery is back on start the car and let it find it's new sweet spot, it will have a rising high idle that drops back down to almost stall point then back up to 550rpm.
Leave it to idle for 10 mins to store the new recalibration map into the ecm. Time for a beer.

Just wanted to update the thread since I absolutely hate when I come across my EXACT issue and the OP doesn't talk about resolution.
It was, in fact, the Throttle Body. I ordered a used one off of Ebay, which arrived damaged. My mechanic patched it up and installed it for a couple hundred dollars and it's been working great for six months. I still have the old unit in my trunk and when I get some gumption, I'll send it in for refurbishment to have as a spare since this issue seems to be rather common and the replacement used unit was Macgyvered into shape.
EDIT- I should also note that I found the mechanic on CraigsList and literally took the car TO HIS HOUSE and he did the work. He's a talented guy, but I want everyone to know that there is no "special electronic calibration equipment" needed. I think the guy was legit half in the bag during the entire process judging by his texts to me. haha
Thanks to everyone in the thread for the help.
