Dear forum,
I found the following cars for sale and would like your expert advice on which 1 is the best deal... or should I just spring for the XJR instead? I like the look of the sport trim, especially in platinum silver.
2003 XJ Sport, 102k mi, white/white $8988
2003 XJ Sport, 130k mi, white/black $7950
2003 XJ Sport, 87k mi, platinum/black, $8898
Cheers![Icon Toast](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_toast.gif)

The 3rd one !
White/white one lookes worn down, white/black one has too many Miles.
My advice - Go and test drive one of the white ones first and save the silver one (probably the best of these three) for your last test-drive.
If you feel the difference (in a positive way) get the price down a notch and seal the deal!
Good luck!

Or less for an XJR. I paid $7500 for my 2001 example with 80,000 but had to immediately spend a grand to update the tensioners and another few hundred to go through the car.
The better transmission makes it a no brainer. XJ8 trannies tend to be on borrowed time not much bast 100k, then there's $3,000 down the drain that you could have put in an XJR.

Found a great deal for you via my dealer wholesale site in Hayward, CA.
2001 XJR with 106,000 miles. Can be had for $5900. You can take the savings and spend a grand going through the timing chain tensioners, another 500 through the fluids, and come out with a great car.
Of course get a full PPI on it.
