Default Xj sport cluster fault

Guys I have an xj that is bringing up multiple fault messages on the cluster, dials not operating and not coming out of park without manually releasing it. I have put in a different cluster but this made no difference I also checked both clusters for the known issue with these models but could not see any fault. Does anyone have any other ideas of what the issue could possibly be?

1. Battery condition to include cables...any corrosion, replace it, you won't get it out. This will prevent proper current flow.
2. Connections at the alternator, these to will cause improper current flow if corroded or damaged...and alternator condition. If the voltage regulator is fluctuating, it would need replacement.
3. Grounds, ..loose, corroded, broke
