hi is there anybody who can help me with 2 problems 1st cd button on dashboard but no player where would cd player be situated. problem 2 changed batteries in key fob 4 button type. boot lid works off remote headlamps work off remote locks easily off remote but sruggles to open.any advice would be welcome this is a 1999 xj8 auto thankyou.

Hi Dee,
I know this is an old post, and hopefully you've solved your problems by now, but if not....
The CD multi-player is situated in the boot (trunk), on the left side as you look in. Needs a CD loader cartridge to operate.
Secondly, the problem with the key fob sounds like it's just knackered, and you'll have to replace it...imagine how many times the button has been pressed since 1999!!
