Default XJ8 Headliner Droop

Well Folks, after 18 years and 214,000klm Jeremy J.
is suffering the indignity of headliner droop ;o]
So far it's only the rear most section just forward of the
rear screen and has dropped about 100mm.
I really don't want to remove the head board at this stage
for a small section but I know it can only get worse.
Is there a 'quick fix' for the interim?

Not doing the cheesy thumbtack route, I've seen some people try to find an edge or corner that they can peel back, or even poke a very small hole, and use spray adhesive with a tube to try to spray up in there and do it that way. I'm sure it only comes out as well as the time and effort put into making it smooth, but that's about the only ways I've seen it.

Don't worry, when it starts, it'll go quick. Just remove it and replace. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt

sewing pins pushed in sideways are almost invisible and quite effective for the short term.

quarter inch (6mm) staples work perfectly; too small to be seen and will last for years.

Jim....the staple route intrigues me ;o))
Are these the type used in a hand power stapler?
Are they just fired directly into he head board....what's it made of?
