XJ8 Rear Vibration

Hi
Can anyone help. My 1998 XJ8 3.2 has developed a vibration in the rear. I have had tyres changed, wheels balanced and the car tracked but still no improvement. Passangers dont seem to notice it too much except if I have to break hard.
the vibration is most noticable under breaking when it feels the brakes are grabbing and loosining in quick succession. If I ease up the handbreak when driving I can feel a vibration through the break handle. It is in it when driving and becomes especially noticiable between 55 and 65 mph after when it starts to diminish again.
I get the car serviced in a good independent garage as there is no Jag dealer near us. The car has 115k miles on it and the problem has been in it for about the last 5k miles.
I think it might be a warped disk but before getting those changed was wondering if anyone else has had this and what it turned out to be. I would have suspected the ABS except it is in it when driving as well as when breaking.

Sounds like the problem I had last year with the front wheels
Shaking havely (only) when driving 100km/h.
Had the wheels balanced and tracked, to no reveal.
After many hours of searching it turned out to be the brake piston(s) in the front right wheel were sticky.
The local Jaguargarage had them (forced) loosened, cleaned and greased.
No problem since.
Brake disc wasn't warped.
How the sticky piston could make it vibrate during the ride I still don't know ,but it solved the problem.
Just a thougth,
Rob

Have had the brake discs checked and the mechanic confirmed there were signs of warping so had all four replaced and new pads fitted. seems to have cured the problem about 90% in that there is no vibration when breaking but still a little when driving at 60 + MPH though this is gratly reduced on previously and not really noticable to the passangers though I am aware of it. Suspect it might be a bushing on the rear shock absorber deteriorating a little bit. Anyway not enough to spoil the car's ride so will leave it and see how it develops.
