My windshield was hit by a rock. I had it replaced. While looking at my side windows I noticed spots that seemed like faint tinted areas about one to two inches in diameter. They are very faint. I never noticed them before. They are in all side windows.
I am wondering if anyone else has seen this.

 

Nope. Not sure glass could even do that, perhaps it is a tint-film. If you're not the original owner, perhaps you have tints that are darkening/failing - some window tint is very mild and looks almost untinted, roll-down the window partially and check for a seam near the top edge.

 

I too have seen these faint spots, almost as if it's an aftermarket tint film that's failing, but much fainter than that. This spotting is only visible at certain angles and only on my rear side windows. Not sure what it is.

 

I believe it's called tempered glass.
