has anyone ever replaced windshield in 2000 jaguar XJ8? is moulding reusable how hard is process?

Welcome to the forum biritter, nice to have you with us. I've moved your post from the X350 section to the X308 section. Your 2000 XJ8 is an X308.

Not sure about re-using the moulding, maybe someone with some experience on this will be along shortly.

I went to the local auto glass place. They said the moulding is just cosmetic. The windshield is glued in like most cars.

Yes had it replaced on my 2001. Glued on. Reused "gasket".

just had my windshield replaced as well, was very careful when removing the chrome moldings and was able to reuse them, be very careful not to stretch the window gasket, or you will have to replace. and make sure you mark them for drivers side and passenger side as well the glass guy made a mistake the first time, he had to replace the gasket as he forced the chrome moldings in the wrong sides of the car... hope this helps.
